To start, I’d like to tell you about the event Natale è Reale (Christmas is Real) held within the royal stables of the magical Palazzina di Caccia of Stupinigi. This is a perfect example of combining the useful with delightful: visiting the Palazzina di Caccia during the Christmas period allows not only to explore the fantastic Elf Village, which features workshops, animated games, circus activities and none other than Santa Claus, but also to visit the beautiful Palazzina with all its permanent furnishings and temporary exhibitions.
Stupinigi is not the only destination to set on the navigator to get a bit of Christmas atmosphere. During the holidays, the city of Rivoli transforms into a large and magical Santa Claus Village, where, in addition to visiting Santa Claus’s home, you can explore the elves’ workshop and the varied market spread throughout charming wooden houses.
And more, the Magical Christmas Village in Govone, along with the one in Asti, perfectly captures the magic of the holiday. Imagine walking inside a nativity scene, among stone alleys with the scent of fresh moss and caramelized apples in the air… this is the Govone market, a series of wooden structures each offering delicacies, jewelry, decorations, candles and Christmas baskets.
Another market not to be missed is the one in Susa, called Stella Cometa (“Comet”) because it lights up the entire historic center of the city. Here too, the ideas for thoughtful gifts for the loved ones or culinary proposals are among the most varied.
